iTunes only syncs with iPhone in XP SP2 Comp Mode??

    Hi,

I am having a problem syncing my iPhone with iTunes, it wont work unless I use XP SP2 compatibility mode? iTunes works regardless of mode, its just the syncing that has a problem. If iTunes starts normally (non comp mode) then selecting the info tab in the iPhone causes iTunes to hang/freeze?

I have followed the following articles and threads to no avail.
If anyone has any ideas or can explain what the compatibility mode is doing, so I can rectify the problem that would be a great help.

    cheers,

    Anthony

Over a year since your post, and updating iTunes never solved the problem?

Do you have bonjour installed and do you see a process named AppleMobileDeviceHelper in your task manager; it can also be called Ituneshelper.

    Hi,

LogicEarth - Updating iTunes has never solved the problem, which only started when I installed iTunes 10 for the first time and decided not to use iCloud. As you can see from the original post, I've tried everything I can find on the web and still no joy.

CrankyPenguin - I do have iTunesHelper.exe running on my system. Why do you ask?

    cheers,
