    DOS Programs in 7?

My Business Software is very old (so am I) and was written in a DOS Version of R-Base. I am currently using it in machines that run on XP-Pro.

I have no intention of changing it in any way, I have looked into having it put into a windows format and the price estimate was astronomical.

Simple question, will it run in Windows 7?

Perhaps, perhaps not. You will be able to (with the proper hardware) run a virtual XP machine and it should run on that.

Pro's and con's to that approach.

If it doesn't work in XPMode the DosBox emulator may work with it. I would search the software name and DosBox. You might find a post detailing how someone got it to work etc..

It will definitely not run in Windows 7 x64.
I have used it in Windows 7 x86 however.
