I don't use Registry Cleaners, I just go through old program's registry through RegEdit and manually deleting them, or I will run a CCleaner Scan to help me find them and don't actually let CCleaner fix them.

Personal experience is what is categorized as placebo effect. Facts are facts, and they do nothing in terms of actual, measurable performance. You can talk all you want about personal experience, but there's no actual data to support it, and that's why no one on these boards or performance oriented ones will use "tuning" apps. If you think you need them, you should do more reading about Windows 7 and how it differs from XP.
Of course windows 7 is way better then any other operating system to take care of itself but i still maintain that it is not a matter of religion or belief that i can feel my system light after optimizing from 3rd party software as it really speed up my machine performance.
About actual data to support the topic i can only say that if these software were craps not many people have downloaded/buy it asthese types of software are generally uses by people who have a bit of knowledge about computers and after all not so many people are dumb in the cyber world
Even XP doesn't require much optimization, even on limited hardware as long as you do routine maintenence.
If the number of people downloading software from a website known to embed spyware and jumk into those downloads is your indicator of how well that software works...then there's going to be no reasoning with you, as logic means little to nothing. MANY people using computers have NO IDEA about software, and will believe any tag line or marketing drivel over what software can do...maybe more so than any other industry. That average computer user knowns very little about their computer and how to maintain it. If you don't believe me, try working in I.T.
I'll say it one more time, then you can do what you want. That software isn't used by people who know and understand their computers. That's why we are trying to tell you. When you "feel" your computer is faster...you are holding up a sign admitting to the placebo effect. That's the classic description of the placebo effect. There's a reason why most of the more knowledgeable people on this site refer to them as "snake oil". Do a search of you don't believe me.
The only problem with that plan is that most people don't realize when it is hurting them until it is too late.
