    when trying to switch from x86 to x64, you said that we need to install fresh copy of it..
    my question is, 32 bit or 64 bit windows 7 is on different installation disc or included in one installation disc? how to choose to install 64 bit on my laptop? thx
    You ought to have begun a new thread on this.

    In the US, retail copies of the Windows 7 DVD have separate disks for the 32 and 64 bit versions. People have prepared single-disk versions, but they aren't official.

    The license key will work with either version.

    To run either an upgrade or full copy, you'd need to boot the laptop form the DVD. (You are not permitted to do an upgrade-in-place for a 32 bit version of Windows to a 64 bit one, but you can do a clean install using an upgrade license.)

    You also need to check whether your laptop will support the 64 bit version. The manufacturer's web site usually supplies the information. Alternately, use the Upgrade Advisor:

    Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - Download - Microsoft Windows

    There's a tab for 64 bit support.

    Hi, I switched from X64 to X32 following this link but now ¿How can I get back to X64?

    "...Another thing you can do is set your system so that it uses the 32bit CLR by-default. You can do this by calling:

    C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Ldr64.exe setwow "

    Fix for "BadImageFormatException was unhandled" on x64 platforms

    Thanks

    You've already got a 64 bit system. Not everything will run at 64 bit.

    @Juan Vallejo
    You should have started a new thread as well, but what I think your after is this

    C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Ldr64.exe set64

    BTW Yellow text is really hard to read.
