Live Messenger won't display conversation window

Such a strange problem that I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.

I've not used messenger since I installed Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, but now I want to I can't. For some reason, even though it appears to be up and running with me logged in fine, it won't show me any IM's received or made. If I hover over the icon in the taskbar, I can see I have a conversation window open, but if I click on it, nothing happens. I can see the main page no problem, but never any conversation window.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it's still the same.

Confused.

Any ideas most welcome.

Hi Nomy, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Have you used a dual display setup earlier but now using only one display, disconnected the second display? If yes, then this thread (post# 2) might have a solution for you.
