    Hi all,

first, my original post was there : True Image 2011 application Hang at start up each time | Knowledge Base

But if I post a new thread here, it's because a have something new, because I got a problem with Acronis and Ghost 15 as well.

Well, when I click to launch the TI, the application hang and I got the message in the event observer:

    Nom de l’application défaillante TrueImage.exe, version : 14.0.0.6942, horodatage : 0x4e7b678b
    Nom du module défaillant : MSVCR80.dll, version : 8.0.50727.4940, horodatage : 0x4ca2b271
    Code d’exception : 0x40000015

    ID de rapport : 32b40756-33ca-11e1-b163-001fbc095698

And with Norton Ghost 15, the application responds well, i am able to make image without any problem except i got this message error when i want include a file or subfolder other that c:

    -Info 6C8F1C25: Cannot add protection.
    --Cannot retrieve list of drives.

it's like that Acronis True Image hang and the Norton Ghost seem don't like my other drives except C:

Finaly, here is my current setup system:

    i7 950 (stock)
    12 GB (2x6) Mushkin Ridgeback 6-6-6

I've had problems with Acronis TrueImage on some computers, notably Acers, but a few others too.

Making it work depended upon the system BIOS having the floppy drive (even though there probably isn't one) activated as TrueImage emulates it being present.

When you mapped your CD Drive as Z:\ did you remember to alter the registry paths too?

    hi Qdos,

I checked the registry, all seem ok with MountedDrive.

But i just found something very interesting ? i did know before and don't know really it's the real problem.

Acronis TI 2011 home don't support dynamic drive and GUID partition table (GTP). Seem like a have to install pack extention (+30$).

Acronis True Image Home Does Not Support Dynamic Disks or Disks with GUID Partition Tables (GPT) | Knowledge Base

My D:\ drive mounted in raid0 and my G:\ drive are a dynamique drive et GPT

So, i have two options here. Hard way and short way but risky...

1- Backup stuff and convert to MBR disk and never use dynamic drive and GPT again
2- buy the pack extention and take the risk that don't work

    i thinking

    Seb

    Quoi! Alors... c'est degoutant...

Good luck with the extra pack, it seems like a rip off to me though...

Perhaps you can find that 'plug in' somewhere other than on Acronis own website...

    Bonne année...

    Hi Qdos,

    Bonne année,

I found that Norton Ghost 15 support GPT and Dynamic Disks.... but i reported that Ghost wasn't able to grab file or subfolder except my C:\

So, i thinking that extention pack from Acronis won't work at all

Anyway, i made an mistake to choose GPT, MBR disk is enough for my need.

    regard,

    Seb
