    Logitech Mouseware won't install

I have a MX500 that I love. Been using the Mouseware software to program the buttons of the mouse for a game that I play. 7 will not allow me to install Mouseware and I cannot find a way in 7 to set the buttons on the mouse.

Is there a way, or do I have to go and get a new rodent?

Saw this posted here. MX?500 Optical Mouse

This device uses the native drivers when used with Microsoft Vista™. If you do not have Vista, please select another operating system from the dropdown list above.

This product originally shipped with either iTouch or MouseWare, which are not compatible with Vista. We strongly recommend to uninstall iTouch and/or MouseWare prior to migrating to Windows Vista. After iTouch and MouseWare are uninstalled, the basic functionality of your devices will be provided by the Windows native driver.
If it is not compatible with Vista, probably not with 7 either. You could try installing in XP compatibility mode, but I have my doubts.
