How do I find missing snipping tool?

Windows 7, 64. It's not under Accessories, nor can be found in a computer search and in Tablet PC is turned on.

(I last used it about 6 months ago)

    Thanks!

Snipping tool should be here: C:\Windows\System32\SnippingTool.exe.

If not, download this zip file. De-extract the zip and drag Snipping Tool.exe into system32 and then Right Click on it and chose Create Shortcut (if you already have a SnippingTool.exe in system32, you do not need to use my one). On the dialogue press Yes, drag it into Accessories in the Start Menu

Also try going to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > and select Tablet PC Components.

Tablet PC Components is not required on my 2 Win7 32-bit pc's to be able to use the Snipping Tool.

Thank you~! It wasn't in Accessories where it used to be. And Tablet PC was already turned on so that wasn't the problem either, however you sent me the link on where to drag the Snipping Tool so I looked in that folder and there it was! Now if I may ask you this...about putting the found snipping tool in the Accessories folder. Upon searching the path shows: windows, winsxs, FileMaps... however I can't locate FileMaps. I searched for it and nothing was found. Thank you!

Need to put snipping tool in accessories folder

Now that I've located the snipping tool in: C:\Windows\System32\SnippingTool.exe
I made copies and placed one on my desktop and another one in my system tray, however I would also like to put one in Accessories where it used to be in the first place. I can't seem to be able to put it there. Try to put something in your accessories folder to tell me. It's not as simple as when we drag and drop or even paste something in folders.

    I hope this makes sense.
If not, it's not a big deal b/c at least I have a snipping tool!

    Kindly,
    Terri

you can drag-n-drop it into accessories - first you need to hold it over your start button, then you 'hover' over accessories for a short while, then the folder will open up allowing you to drop it in.

Right click on All Programs from Start Menu and chose Open all users. Then double click Accessories (the path is also here: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs). Drag the Snipping Tool from your Desktop into that Folder.

Or like Mickey said, drag and hold down on the Snipping Tool from the desktop, and drag it over to the Start Menu button, it takes a few seconds, then hover over over All Programs, then hover over Accessories. Then drag in there. But after hovering it will take a couple of seconds to Open.
