it's not about performance tweaks, it's about personalization tweaks. it's about keeping it clean (taskbar restore points cache, even context menus) with one click.
really i don't mind clicking 10 or even 30 times. i still prefer to do it myself so i know exactly what's happening. i don't trust my machine to just anybody :)

anyway my computer performs beautifully. if i want to customize, that's one thing, but as far as performance - will i really notice a few milliseconds here or there? nope!

Yea auslogics boostspeed is excellent for win7... I also tried Yamicsoft windows 7 manager. It's also good but imo boostspeed is more useful and practical

Best tweaks are not too many tweaks at all, and if you have to, do them by hand an customized to your system.

Look at our Tutorials. You can find some helpful tweaks there.

I gave this program a try an I noticed that my firefox loads up significantly faster upon a fresh PC reboot, does Auslogic include firefox on the OS boot phase or something like that?

The only thing to "tweak" is your services and windows components, which are all readily available to be removed/added in OS itself.

The only third party software I personally use is Ccleaner, it will remove a lot of cache files that browsers and other design/media applications can accumulate over time.

how about Directory Opus? sure, it's a file manager and not a tweak program. but it is 95% customizable. you can make your context menus look however you want them to look - they can even differ by filetype or even custom filetype groups (like images or archives). all toolbars are also customizable, and can be moved about the screen as you like. you can incorporate 3rd party apps too - for example, i can select files and click my Burn button to send them to ImgBurn and start recording a new data disc with a single click.

regex rename scripting, duplicate file finder, file splitter/joiner, integrated ftp, dynamic thumbnails, custom tooltips, custom status bar, custom themes...

no single app has increased my productivity more than Opus. it's pricey, but it's worth every penny!
