MvtApp is an application manager belonging to McAfee. Urlmon.dll is essential for Windows to work correctly.

So I'm not exactly sure what is going on to initially cause this.

If you can, download malwarebytes and run it, searching for malware.

Also, since McAfee is not working, download Microsoft Security Essentials to search for viruses.

Let us know what you find.

the problem

i have installed both of those iteams and have done a full computer scan, and it shows nothing wrong. is there something wrong with the file mcafee security itself? i there is, thanks for giving me another source to look for viruses with. I appreciate it!

Normally I don't have problems with McAfee. If you want, you can uninstall McAfee and install Microsoft Security Essentials.
