Wanted - IP address monitor

Hi

I'm currently using the Network Meter gadget to monitor IP addresses and usage but it doesn't react to IP changes quickly. Is there a small app that can sit in the tray and give a pop-up when the external IP changes - I want something that gives a visible indication, could be free or will pay. Will replace Network Meter if something that does much the same can be found. Network Monitor II gadget is a little too big. Thanks.

Thanks but it looks like a little more than I need - just need a gadget-type display of IP address that updates when IP changes or a separate little app that indicates the same.

Thanks, but did you read my request. All I want is an indication when my IP changes so it needs to be running in the background and just indicates when this occurs. Further searching has found this but it only checks a minimum of every five minutes.

What is my IP - IP address checking utility

just out of interest, why/how does your ip address change a lot and so quickly?

(btw - there are at least two errors in your sig )

you could probably use something like rainmeter to achieve what you're looking for, but you may have to make your own skin if you can't find a pre-made skin. it's a bit of a hammer to crack a nut though.

They of course wouldn't be deliberate errors in my sig?

My ISP used to be fine but at times it just appears to change IP's without warning and this sometimes catches me out when I am about to post as I am logged off and if I haven't saved the text it is lost - really annoying!

I'm using that at the moment but it doesn't update quickly unless you use the refresh so it won't indicate an unexpected change of IP.
