Windows 7 - MSN freezing on program start up

Hey guys, random issue I've had.

Whenever I open MSN up it freezes straight away (Not responding) so that I can not talk to anyone or open my emails through it or anything else like that.

I believe it happened when my computer tried to switch between its graphics cards, as it has happened twice now, both times when the screen was down and it might have decided to switch the cards.

The solution that worked the first time was to system restore to before the issue started, which worked fine then. This time however, the only restore thats available to me that is before it started, doesn't work for some reason.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how I could fix either of these problems? If you want I can attempt a system restore again to get the error message for it.
