    Rocketdock Vs. Show Desktop

I'm currently trying to set up a few desktop utility applications such as Rainmeter and Rocketdock but I wish to keep the serviceable Windows 7 task bar in tact. One of my favourite things about this task bar is the "Show desktop" button in the bottom right hand corner.

The problem I'm having is when I hit "Show desktop" it hides Rocketdock, making it unusable until I open up another window.

I pretty well use Rocketdock as a neat and tidy place to keep desktop items so this problem makes it pretty well useless. I've tried at least four other similar applications and they all appear to have the same problem. It won't happen if I layer it on top of all other windows but then that gets in the way of normal web browsing which is even more annoying. Also, strangely enough, Rainmeter isn't hidden when I hit this button. Is there anyway to replicate this with Rocketdock? I've been pulling my hair out scouring countless help forums and can't seem to find a permanent solution.

I beg you SevenForums, help me out!

ObjectDock was actually the first alternative I tried once I encountered this problem in Rocketdock. The results were quite the same though perhaps this is not the case with the paid for version? Which version do you use?

I gave it another fair shake but I'm still getting the same results. Any other suggestions?

Well, it's a little more in-your-face than Rocketdock but I'll give it a fair shake for a day and see how it goes! Thanks for the suggestions, most helpful reply so far! +1

Edit: Same problem still persists with this program as well. Is there any hope?

nexus dock is pretty but a little heavier than the others. Winstep Nexus Dock and Nexus Ultimate - The Advanced Docking System for Windows not sure if it will solve the problem anyway.

It seems to be related to whether this advanced setting in ObjectDock is checked for me.

I use Nexus ( the free version) and when I hit the show desktop button you can still see it.
