Program for saving Web Sites.

Hi guys!
Can you recommend some good programs for saving Web Sites for offline viewing?
I am doing a thesis for my project, so I need to do a lot research through the web so it can be a good idea to save some informational Websites for future references..
Thanks!

Hello Necroticis,

In Internet Explorer, you could just open the website you want to save, click on File -> Save as, and select the Webpage, Complete (*.htm; *html) save type option to do so.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Thanks for the fast reply Brink, this only saves a single webpage and what I'm looking for is a good program for saving an entire website for offline browsing.

Ah, ok.

You might see how the free program HTTrack Website Copier may work for you for this.

check out HTTrack

Quote:
HTTrack is a free (GPL, libre/free software) and easy-to-use offline browser utility.

It allows you to download a World Wide Web site from the Internet to a local directory, building recursively all directories, getting HTML, images, and other files from the server to your computer. HTTrack arranges the original site's relative link-structure. Simply open a page of the "mirrored" website in your browser, and you can browse the site from link to link, as if you were viewing it online. HTTrack can also update an existing mirrored site, and resume interrupted downloads. HTTrack is fully configurable, and has an integrated help system.
*edit* shawn - you're too fast!
