    Hello,
Can anyone suggest me a fix for the WL messenger problem. When I want to sign in, I tipe in my address and password and when I click on the sign in button I have to wait somewhere 30-60 seconds till it succesfully signs me in.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Hi, Martin7R.

First things, first, any reason why you haven't updated to the current version of Windows Live Messenger 2011? That aside, in researching your issue, I found that the following worked for others with the same issue:

    - close messenger
    - open Internet Explorer
    - go to Tools -> Internet Options
    - go to "Connections" tab
    - click on "LAN settings" button
    - uncheck "Automatically detect settings"
    - close IE
    - restart messenger

    Hi Corrine,
The reason why I haven't done this update is that I like the compact design of the 2009 wml + I can draw messages.
Thank you very much, I will try this and let you know if it worked.
