How do I get Kodak EasyShare to sync and transfer automatically?

I just bought a new computer system (see attached screenshot for system specs, if you need them), and installed the Kodak EasyShare software (v 5.0.2 SKU87) that came with my Z700 digital camera. It ran fine when I was using Windows XP as the OS. Now I find I have to manually sync and transfer, it will not do it automatically on the new system. How can I get it to sync and transfer automatically?

No guarantees, but try running it in Compatibility Mode.

Click on the included blue Compatibility Mode link in my post above and you'll have a tutorial that will guide you through the steps.

I noticed you're using Easyshare version 5. You might need to upgrade to a newer version. I believe version 8 is compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. There may be a bit of a learning curve and it probably won't be exactly like you're used to ... but it may solve your problem.

    Kodak

Kodak has filed for bankruptcy. I don't know what effect that will have on their support.

Are you using any of the actual Easyshare software or just using it to transfer pictures from the camera? If just to transfer, unless Kodak changed how their later model cameras work, then Easyshare isn't needed at all. Just plug the camera into the computer and use Windows own built in import function.
