Error message when installing Ubuntu Error executing comand

Hello, I've been trying to install Ubuntu but for some reason it is giving me a really hard time. I am a noob taking my first computer science course this quarter and I need this OS. I'm trying to install using Wubi but when its extracting the contents this message appears:

Error executing command
>>command=C:\Windows\sysnative\bcdedit.exe /set {60bf86c4-6acb-11e0-8bcc-9fb5a490a6f8} device partition=Y:
>>retval=1
>>stderr=An error has occurred setting the element data.
The request is not supported.

>>stdout=

For more information, please see the log file:
c:\users\victor\appdata\local\temp\wubi-10.04.3-rev192.log
