    problems with uninstalling logitech gamepanel software

    hi all
    i recently changed my keyboard from a logitech g19 to a roccat isku. i uninstalled it using ccleaner. however the service UMVPFSrv still kept running at startup. i have disabled it from starting up though. also the gamepanel software still shows up as installed in revo uninstaller but it wont uninstall. it does'nt show in control panel though. i cant remember which version it was. i think it was the one b4 the latest but it may have been earlier.
    could anyone suggest the best way to remove all traces of logitech software?

    any help is much apreciated as always.

    Take a look in services and see if part of that program is still running; if so disable it. Sometimes this has to be done in Safe Mode. Go to device manger and remove or disable any thing concerning this program. After part of a program has been removed another removal program might not be able to find it anymore even though their are little pieces left over. Revo is a great little removal program. If it can find it it will remove it. As all programs that remove things you must be careful. Tick the wrong thing and it will be gone. Another great little program I use if things still are not gone is Search Everything. Using the search function at the top of the program will find anything in your computer and in most cases can remove it if it is not running. Again be careful what you remove. Once the program is gone disconnect the old mouse and or keyboard and connect the new one and reboot.

    You can remove drivers you don't want or need. Any place I find a driver I don't want I delete them. You can always get new driver if you need them later. When you delete them they go to the recycle bin. Don't clean them out of the recycle bin for a few days. If everything works as it should empty the recycle bin. Search Everything will find them in a Logitech file. It will find them in the recycle bin. To me keeping drivers around for things I don't use any more doesn't make sense. Some may disagree with my thinking. Because your Logitech is also a program make sure that program is gone. Most of the time you can use Windows 7 to do that for you. Start button/ type Logitech and see if window finds anything. Type in Add and Remove and see if the program is their. Look in start up off of the Start button. A lot of this is redundant but you never know where things are hiding. Ccleaner under tools sometimes finds things that other methods don't.

    ello again
    il delete the drivers then cheers.

    i didnt have any probs with install of the new keyboard. been using it for a couple of days now.
    things i prefer over the g19;
    more and better media keys.
    a lot more customizable(all keys between 1-5 and z-b and all between can dual assigned so they have a second command when the easyshift is pressed.(replaced the capslock key).
    lighter as i have to have it on my lap.
    does'nt get hot from the powered usb hubs cos it has none. i didnt use them anyway lol.
    does'nt need to b mains powered
    bigger palm rest
    medium high keys
    no unused lcd
    better software although i havent messed with it much yet.

    things i dont like;
    keys r noisier when typing.
    does'nt feel as much of a quality keyboard as the g19 did but still feels a solid keyboard.

    im happy enough with it. the £70 is more justifiable than £115.

    i regreted buying the g19 pretty much straight away.
