You can still run 32bit software on a 64bit Windows.

GOM Media Player is listed in the great free software list. It is an excellent program that I have recently installed after issues with VLC and KMPlater.

However it seems that it has spyware and adware embedded in the shape of a file named popup.exe. Has any one using this software had issues with this file? There is a lot about this file on the Net. You can read a few reviews at GOM Media Player user reviews and ratings - CNET Download.com

Any inputs would be most welcome

I would be surprised if the VLC v2.xxx weren't corrected in the near future.

Free Alternatives to Visio and Project

I found a couple of useful free office applications which may be worth including in the list.

    1. Dia Diagram Editor - A Visio type diagramming tool. Dia draws your structured diagrams: Free Windows, Mac OS X and Linux version of the popular open source program

    2. OpenProj - A replacement for Microsoft project. OpenProj - Project Management | Free Business & Enterprise software downloads at SourceForge.net

    Hello Brink
    Very good list of choices.
The SYSTEM INFORMATION VIEWER is listed twice, one after SIG CHECK and one before SYSTEM NUCLEUS.
I think you can remove the second one.
    Thank You.

    Hello Hanna,

Yeah, I listed it twice to help make it easy to find the program in the list for both SIV and System Information Viewer names since those names are commonly used for that program. :)
