Windows 7: Paint not showing recent pictures anymore

Just noticed that Paint won't show recent pictures when I hover it in the start menu anymore, even though if I open it, it shows recent files when I open the drop-down menu, and other programs show recent files normally (screenshot). Is this something normal and if not, any idea what could cause it? (I know it's not that big of a deal but it's kind of annoying and bugs me to just randomly stop showing recent files >_>)
