Glad utorrent seems to work for alot of folks with w7. Unfortunately it didn't work on my new windows 7 pc for some reason. (Worked really great with my old windows XP pc tho). Went to the utorrent forum and found alot of folks with problems trying to get utorrent to work with w7. Racked my brain for several days trying everything mentioned at the forum to fix the problem. But just couldn't get utorrent to work. Finally gave up, then found Halite mentioned right here. Works like a charm

first dont beat me for drudging up an old post but i have been using halite for a month now and have downloaded about 10 GBs of stuff and for one i have noticed it is the fastest Torrent client i have used (i used to use uTorrent on windowx xp 32 bit). Although utorrent supports IP filters from Bluetack.co.uk, i know utorrent supports it to but its easier in halite since it has a menu option to import a filter sadly it does not auto update the ip filter like a UNIX program i like a lot called Ktorrent, i have yet to find a windows torrent app that compares to its speed and abilities. Also Since this is my first experience with IPv6 halite supports it (i haven't tried utorrent yet but i would think it does too since they are both built on the same torrent libraries) In all I have found it FAST and Easy to use and well when you run a 64 bit OS why not take advantage of a 64 bit app? I get the fastest speeds i have ever gotten on torrents with this app. My connection is 20Mbits and i have gotten up to 900kb's to 1MB+. Although i have never broken the 2MB a sec barrier yet "I'm givin it all shes got capt'in" IDK just my 2 cents bit i would recommend it as my first choice for a torrent client for use in any 64bit OS especially windows seven.
