    Best video editor to get

I have Windows Movie Maker, and I do know there are better video editors out there, but I want to know which is the best one out of all of them is the one to get. I've iMovie, Real Editing(?), Studio 7, Final Cut [Pro], etc. There are more, but I decided to list what I've heard recently from recently videos from shows.

So, which is the best to get, from that list or not?

    Recently using Sony's Vegas Pro.
Love it, for its simplicity and available tutorials.

If you want the best one, most of the professionals use Adobe Premier Pro.

The ones I have are Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and Canopus Edius NEO.
Both are great, Edius NEO is more affordable at $200 vs $800 for Premiere Pro CS 5.5

Sony Vegas Pro seems to be very popular. I've used it once at a friend's house and it's very simple to use but still very effective. It's used a lot professionally as well as on videos you might find on YouTube such as gaming clips by channels such as Machinima. The only downside is the cost. Have a look at the website below and see if you like any of their products.

Would you recommend Vegas Movie Studio HD 11, other than it being affordable?

Yes, it is missing some things of the pro version like color correction and unlimited tracks but interface and most functionality is same. Differences at Sony Creative:

I think nothing could come near the competition with Primier, but of course it has to be learnt before using and realy not much affordable or useful for a basic user. and then I have never used vegas but I have seen it being used by one of my friend. it is user friendly when compares with professional versions like premier. then I like you to suggest Cyberlink Power Director. Now Im using it and very satisfying and simple yet powerful editor.
