    Best lightweight simple .iso mounter that does not run in background?


    As it turns out WinCDEmu overrides all of Universal Extractor's file associations, with no means of getting around.

    I've been using it because I like BurnAware free, but the three programs do not coexsiste perfectly.

    Is there a simple program that burns, creates, and mounts .isos (and can erase RW disks) with minimal features?

    As far as I know it cannot. By the way you can use Daemon Tools http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/products/dtLite. It comes with two version : a lite version (free version) and a paid version. If you install it then remember to turn off the option of "Start with Windows" otherwise it will run in background and will slow down your bootup!

Hi all I know that there are some 3rd party apps out there to mount ISO's and use as a native drive (very useful for example when you want to watch a DVD on a netbook that doesn't have DVD drives). However it would be great to have this built in as standard in the OS -- I saw a sneak...
Could anyone please tell me which one is considered the most lightweight (uses the least RAM/proc) with real time scanning (or resident shield in AVG) feature only? No need to consider the capability, features (firewall, antimalware etc).

Please MS build in ISO mounter

Hi all I know there are 3rd party tools etc (and probably the EU would have a fit again) but I think it would be an excellent idea for MS to build an ISO mounter in to the functionality of the OS. Virtual drives are flexible, convenient etc and with the HUGE sizes of pocket sized external USB...
