    Recent version of WAIK

    Hi,
I downloaded Windows Automated Installation Kit for Windows 7 kinda a long time ago and on my machine, it has the file size of 1.66 GB (1,789,542,400 bytes).
I'm not really sure if it's the same exact version as it is on the site nowadays or not:

Download: The Windows® Automated Installation Kit (AIK) Supplement for Windows® 7 SP1 - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details

I'm asking just to evade the hassle of downloading the giant file just to end up with the same file I already have. If there's anyway to let me know if the iso file on my machine is the same version 3 as on the site, I'll be thankful

I downloaded the ISO on the 17th of March 2012 and it is 1.25 GB (1,353,234,432 bytes)

The service pack files are all dated November 2010. The contents are quite different to the original WAIK 1.66gb package.

    Mr

Thx for the answer so now from what I understood I should download the new file - right?
B4 I download let me make sure of 1 more thing:
I'm using Windows 7 without SP1 (coz it failed on me in the middle) & it says on the download link that the WAIK:
supported operating systems: Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
Will it run ok on my OS without complaining about not having sp1???
P.S. The reason that I'm downloading this file is to slipstream my Windows 7 file with SP1 & then I'll repair my Windows installation in order to have Windows updated (by force!) to SP1 - I hope this trick 'll work coz I don't have the time & energy to install freshly windows 7 SP1 just to have SP1

Sorry, I couldn't tell you if it will install without W7 SP1. If it says SP1 is a dependency then I would think it wouldn't.

I don't have any systems here that are not on SP1. Much as I'd like to, unfortunately, I don't have the time to install a vanilla Windows 7 here to test it for you.

perhaps someone else can chime in. If not, your going to have to bite the bullet one way or another.
