are you sure your itunes exe is not faulty ?

just to be a litlle more specific in and to add to my last post, when you delete itunes through programs, delete all "apple.inc" programs as well. and all folders related to them, and then run a registry cleaner, i used cc cleaner.

    Completely remove iTunes and QuickTime.
    Also
Click Start - Run, type in %temp% and then click OK.

Once that temp folder is open and you can view its contents, select and delete EVERYTHING that's inside it.

It's all junk and is a good place for "nasties" to hide.

If a few files resist being deleted, that's normal. Leave them alone and delete EVERYTHING else.

    Repeat the steps with c:\windows\temp

After you're done with both temp folders, restart the computer.
Then try installing iTunes, hope problem is resolved.

Click on windows explorer icon in the taskbar and open your C Drive.
You should see “program files “& “program files (x86). In these two folders there Will be an “iTunes “folder. The iTunes in program files is the 64bit and the other iTunes in Program files (x86) is the 32bit.
Also in the C Drive you’ll see a folder “Program Data “ In the view window select "show hidden files" Inside there should be another folder “Apple Computer “and if you open it you should see “Installer cache” .Inside you find “iTunes64.msi and SetupAdmin.exe “.
If you go to download site of iTunes, choose the 64bit, because if you download the 32bit, The program alerts you that “This software is not intended to run on a 64bit platform”.
Go ahead and uninstall iTunes completely then run the new downloaded one and all should be OK.

    Good luck

    Also try these steps::

    • Check Internet Connection
    • Turn Off Firewall
    • Update Itunes
    • Exclude iTunes from DEP
    • Repair registry settings related to iTunes
    • Run Disk Cleanup

    Hope problem is fixed
