    I know that this is a Windows 7 forums but the people on this site are so much faster in getting things done than most sites which I appreciate.

    I was just wondering how to delete some keys that "apt-get update" checks for... when I run the command in terminal this is what I get at the bottom

    W: Failed to fetch http://download.virtualbox.org/virtu...amd64/Packages 404 Not found

    W: Failed to fetch http://download.virtualbox.org/virtu...-i386/Packages 404 Not found

    E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

    Hi,

    I don't think you can edit the repositories directly, although I may be wrong. I suggest changing your software sources to the main server, or another mirror, and then trying:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
    If this doesn't solve the problem, check to see whether Synaptic Package Manager is open elsewhere, and close it before running these commands.

    Regards,
