    The only other thing I know of is to give a system restore a try using a restore point (if available) dated before you had this issue.

    I am system restoring back to April 13 because that is the only resotre point that I have that may have been before this issue occured.

    The system restore brought back the original problem I had. Time to fix it again and maybe Windows update will work.

    You should never delete/replace portions of an install. It's better to just un-install, re-boot then install. You can sometimes right click on the program and select Repair from the Programs and Features screen.
