Way To Lock Folder View To "Tiles"?

Well, I've been fiddling around through my settings and I'm wondering if there is a way to lock the Folder View? I heavily prefer the "tiles" format when viewing folders and I would like if there was a way to set that as a default viewing style for every/any folder (including new folders upon creation).

It's not too big of a deal to change it upon creating new folders but it'd add a bit more ease if I could lock it to that specific view.

"Remember each folder's settings of view."
G'day, I just got my new computer with Win 7 64bit and while looking at the folder settings I couldn't find the nifty feature that used to be called "Remember each folder's settings of view." in Vista. Does it no longer exist? Is there a way to have this function? It would be a bit of a bummer...

Library Question: Can I integrate the "Arrange by Folder" view?
Hello, I have created a library called "America" and put 4 folders into it: "East", "West", "North" and "South". Each of these regional folders (real folders, not libraries) contains a separate folder for each state in that region. Thus, the "West" folder contains folders called...

Unable to view network drive, only "users" folder
Hi, I recently upgraded windows 7 onto both my laptop and desktop PC's. Initially, when I viewed the network tab in explorer, it used to bring up a list of my computers, of which I could then pick one, expand the list and see the corresponsing drives attached. Today, I (stupidly) set up a...
