Need Direction in Restricting Software Access

I have just upgraded hardware and OS to Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) from XP and I should have done so long ago. I also use the Virtual PC for XP.

I am the administrator.

I have a "Guest" login and I would like to restrict access to programmes and files within the admin area. I presume this is possible but after searching I am not able to find the solution.

Many thanks
Mahoney

Welcome to Seven Forums Mahoney. You can use Group Policy Editor to accomplish that.

Applications - Prevent Running Specified Programs

You can also use AppLocker to restrict access to files. Have a look at this tutorial and see if that helps.

AppLocker - Create New Rules

Also see the related tutorials at the bottom of each tutorial.
