    Net Framework uninstall/install

    Hi,

I'm trying to uninstall .net FW 3.5, and using dotnetfx_cleanup_tool not working I still see it turn windows features on or off I had to uninstall it because it didn't show a check mark in the box and only a shaded box so and knew it was not working. But it did not properly uninstall as I can still see it there.

Well I try to install it from this link here Download: .NET Framework 3.5 Service pack 1 - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details but when running it nothing happens.

Welcome to Seven Forums nxb. Have you tried running both the .NET Framework cleanup tool and the .NET Framework setup verification tool?

As far as I know, Windows 7 won't let you remove it, as .net is now a integral part of Windows.

Also, the box is shaded, as not all of the .net features in the sub menu are installed, it doesn't mean .net is incorrectly installed.

Run the .net verifier tool .NET Framework Setup Verification Tool User's Guide - Aaron Stebner's WebLog - Site Home - MSDN Blogs
You will probably find there are no errors, and unless you have actual proof of a .net application not working, you would do well to leave it alone
