    or if you have a custom mouse, it should have a driver disk that needs to be installed

    Welcome to Seven Forums kimmern. This may accomplish what you need. I'm not sure what you'd like to adjust the acceleration for?

    If you just want to change it, try this:

    Start> In search box type Ease of access center> Enter> Make the mouse easier to use> Control the mouse with the keyboard section, click Set up mouse keys

    There is a pointer speed, and an acceleration slider. You can experiment with both, then apply. You may have to log off then back on to see effect.

I know how to adjust my mouse speed/sensitivity when I'm logged into Windows. But my work computer got a new mouse, I adjusted the speed, and now when I'm not logged in (that is, on the login screen), the mouse pointer just FLIES around the screen, and I feel like I'm on drugs or otherwise...

hi im new to windows 7, i've just installed it and it seems my hardware acceleration has been disabled and i've been to screen resolution>advanced settings>toubleshoot but it seems the hardware acceleration adjusting bar is not there like it was when i was on XP. can someone help me fix this...
