Windows 7: looking for slideshow software

looking for slideshow software

long story short lm looking for some software that acts in a similar way to windows slideshow which has similar options like being able to specify the time each slide comes up and randomly show images in specified folders, now you might say windows already does that.

however the reason lm asking is because lm looking for a software that has an extra feature of being able to run a slide show of 2 or more images on one monitor.. that is to say having up to 4 images running as a slideshow, is there a way to do this as lve only found an old outdated program from early 2004 which seems to be labelled a virus by my antivirus software despite scanning a few times manually and finding nothing.

I really like PowerPoint for that because it has a LOT of options. You can really fancy up your slideshow. Here is an example and a tutorial:

its a shame most of the good slideshow programs are for presentations which you have to compile as l was hoping to find something that did what windows does which just randomly shuffled images within a folder (but with the added feature of being able to bring up multiple images on one screen at the same time at the click of a button rather than having to compile a whole set.

PowerPoint takes pictures from any folder as is. If you select all pictures in a folder, they will appear in the slideshow in the same sequence as in the folder - and it makes it with only 1 click.

is it possible to have them randomly generate like split screen? (two or more images per slide as this is what l was hoping to do)

Dynamic random generation does not work - at least as far as I know. 2 portrait format pictures per screen is possible.
