Unable to initialize error 0x20000017 1-click
I use 1-click which is from answers.com and I get the above message at Windows startup.
Any ideas. Have re-installed application.

Have you been using this program ok previously? I had to look it up, last version was 2.4 from 2009 and lists only up to Vista and IE7 for compatibility. Have you installed it using compatibility mode? If this problem just started, I would try a System Restore point from before the problem began. Running the System File Checker is an option, but would only be any help if some system files have been affected.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
It looks like this program installs a couple of toolbars as well, and this may be what is failing to initialize. Does the program work normally after windows manages to boot?
There are some manual removal instructions here:

Do you still get the error after uninstalling the program? Sorry, so many questions, but it may just be that this is incompatible with Windows 7. A Guy
