That application "web browser" fiasco in my original post only happened once. Which in the applications section of Task manager, right clicking "go to process" led me to Skype.exe. Which after doing research I discovered Skype uses ielowutil.exe which is related to Interet Explorer services. After the promt my skype closed. Thats all I could find though and from remembering what happened.

Officially however I can't find anything related of the two (skype and that Web browser promt) on the skype forums or anywhere. So I'm still not sure what it is entirely.

that is NOT an alternative, won't even begin to hit at one of the possible very serious problems.

Default "Browse for file" location in web browser "choose file" box
Hi, how can I change this? Some background - this may not be the issue I need to solve at the end of the day: I believe the location is causing crashes, since I blew up lots of Library registry values (in an attempt to remove them from the OS), and I think it defaults to the library page....
