    Need Microsoft .Net Framework

    Hello,

I'm trying to install this program called DyKnow for school, but every time I run the set up file it says "Microsot .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 needs to be installed..."

However, when I try to install the .NET Framework I get the message that I need to go to "Turn Windows Features On or Off" in the control panel to configure it. I go to that and I check both Windows Communication Foundation HTTP Activation and the Windows Communication Foundation Non-HTTP Activation.

After going through all those steps, I still get the error message when I run the DyKnow set up file. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to solve my problem?

    Thank you in advance.

johngalt is right on the button with this question.

       Information
Windows 7 comes with .NET framework 3.5 and you will have to download the .NET framework 3.5 SP1 from Microsoft Here

    Hope this helps :)

Well it says in mine I have Microsoft NetFramework 3.5.1 - Im not sure if this will be of any help but some parts are disabled by default - go to - control panel - programs and settings - on the left side - turn windows features off or on - locate 3.5.1 and select components. It seems this might be a problem with the installer rather than netframework - you could try installing the program in compatibity mode with the OS its written for -
To install a driver OR program in compatibility mode - right click the setup.exe file - click properties - click compatibility - check run in compatibility with vista/xp etc - check run as administrator - leave the rest blank. Start setup.exe and install.

Nevermind, I was able to install DyKnow by downloading it from the corporate website instead of my school website. Thanks for everyone's help.
