    The one problem you will continue to have from the start is not first seeing the Virtual PC RC installed first and then the XP mode RC following the system restart as long as both the board and cpu support virtualization to begin with. Without the new not old VPC forget about the new XP mode as well.

    The elements in the new VPC are required just to run the XP mode. By your own description there you've been trying to "mickey mouse" things to get it to work and it won't. The beta worked with the beta for the other and now the RC for one works with the RC of the other there. One formula only!

    As far as XP it wasn't that hard to get used to but simply a "Big Downgrade"! from where 7 is now!

    For the rest of us who ran XP and then Vista later and even previous versions the debate on that is long settled! "hey hey 7 baby!"

    well thanks everyone for the help i discovered that windows has "moods" every time you reinstall it. sounds weird but i have never had the same windows experience with the last install as i did with the next
