How to remove this on my PC

    Hi,

I recently uninstalled Java from my PC and I noticed that I still have Java noted in the msconfig startup(see pic) although it is disabled. The path is C\PROGRAM FILES(X86)\COMMON FILES\JAVA.

I also have it listed as Deployment Toolkit in Winpatrol(see pic) under Avtive X

Can anyone tell me if I can/should delete the Java files/folder in the common files and advise how to remove the Deployment Toolkit as I am not sure of its file location. I did a search(start/search) but nothing came up.

    Any assistance would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Andy

Why are you trying to delete Java? There are quite a few programs that need it to run properly.

I was advised to remove it unless I needed it. I dont seem to have anything using it so I removed it but there still seem to be remnants left over.

I'd probably stop listening to the person who advised this. If you absolutely insist on removing it, you may have to reinstall the same version, and then try uninstalling it again. I install it and then stop the updater from running at boot, so I don't get hounded by it.
