Windows 7: Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro Caused system Crash

Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro Caused system Crash

I have a 1 year old HP machine running Windows 7 Home Premium. I also have Acrobat 8 Pro. Some time ago, while running Acrobat 8, the system crashed necessitating a system rebuild. All worked well until a couple of weeks ago when I was running Acrobat 8. After printing a document, *all* the desktop icons changed to the Acrobat 8 icon and I could not reach *any* programs, etc. System Restore didn't help, so I had to again rebuild the system. Needless to say, I don't have Acrobat 8 Pro installed on the machine and won't until I resolve the issue.

My question is: are there any "issues" or "problems" with Acrobat 8 Pro and Windows 7? Or am I going to have to purchase the newest version of Acrobat?

FWIW, I have a copy (legal) of Acrobat 8 Pro on my laptop, which is running Vista and it runs fine.

Anyone have any ideas?
