New to Win7 and having issues with PhotoShop6

I just bought a factory refurbished PC with Windows 7 Home Premium coming from Vista Home Premium and PS6 will not function properly. In Vista it worked perfectly but now when I open several pic and edit them, after I "save as" the first one it will not let me save any more after that, As well, it will no longer show my pic files in the selection window. As well I had a hard time getting online video content to play with Adobe Flash, I did get that to work but I have to dismiss and error box each time I try to play anything, no big there.

None of these issues started until I updated with service pack 1, before none of the issues were there...here. So I did a system restore and the problems remained, so I updated with the service pack 1 again and now the vids will play after I dismiss the error box but PhotoShop will still not work correctly.

    Photoshop 6 or CS6?

Photoshop 6 or CS (Creative Suite) 6?

Photoshop 6 and CS 6 are two diffrent versions released at diffternt times. Photoshop 6 was released in Sept 2000, Photoshop CS 6 is the latest version, which is actually 9.7, and was released March of this year.

Anyway CS 6 should be working with no issues under Windows 7. On the other hand I'm not eve sure Photoshop 6 is supported under Windows 7.

Yes it is PhotoShop 6 released in 2000, great product! It was installed on win7 and worked fine but after service pack 1 it doesn't. Should I un-install and then reinstall? Thats not a biggie at all...

Thank you very much for the response.

You can try that but I honestly don't see it working. We are basically talking a pre-XP program. Anyway if you can get it to work, fine. If not, don't be too surprised as you are many version behind. Example there was PS 7, and then there's the whole CS thing 1-6.

    Anyway good luck.
