Requesting help to install Logitech software

Hi,

I am trying to install the software and driver for a Logitech G27 steering wheel on my Windows 7 x64 PC.

I can install it successfully on my laptop which is running Vista x64 on one partition and also on the Windows 7 x64 partition.

I recently had to do a clean install of windows on my PC and have only reinstalled a few of my previous programs...all of which are also on my laptop.
When trying to install...clicking on the .exe, the program appears to install but does not ask for the wheel to be plugged in, as it did on the laptop...when finished nothing appears in the start menu or installed program list. When the wheel was plugged in windows installed generic drivers which appear as an HID in device manager.
The installation of Windows 7 on the PC and laptop are both recent...with SP1...so should have been identical.

I would really appreciate expert advice on what I can try to get the software and driver installed for this steeing wheel...

kind regards, Russ
