Guess I'll have to wait for an official release.

I am not willing to signup to a forum simply to test beta software.

Agreed. I am eager to try the new version as the previous one created a problem for me. But register to subject myself to beta issues? Maybe for a codec package, but not for a tool that might kill my boot.

Suit yourselves Like foX2delta, I never had any major issues with the betas. This one has some new features.

But maybe you're right. You are better off not using this if you don't know what you're doing.

I could fix my boot with command-line tools even if something did go wrong.

Perhaps we do not need it because we know what we are doing.

    Nothing wrong with that.

But I do not post about this for people who do not want it. I post it for people that do.

    Enjoy!

I forgot what requirement should have been installed before Easy BCD. I just installed Win XP 64-bit after win 7. And going to manage the boot loader. ver 1.7.2 is installed but isnt able to run yet.
Anyone could help... Thx before. :~)

you need the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher. You might as well go with the latest .NET package (I think it's 3.5sp) because afaik it already includes the older versions.

If you are not dual booting with XP or Linux for example but have an existing Vista/7 dual boot and simply want to change the default OS you can download another free tool that requires no installation at all. Plus you won't have to worry about the 7 boot screen being replaced by the one seen on Vista.

Formerly seeing BCD Editor actually being a zip file containing both 32bit and 64bit versions of the free tool that got replaced with BellaVista at System Tools - BellaVista
