Windows 7 Codec Pack (from Vista Codec Pack developer)

That's a good question, I was having no issues but I installed it anyway, maybe I should have just left it until I found something that didn't work first.

Is this better than K-Lite?

it depends what you are looking for...

this is more of a extension of the codecs vista has.... (just the essentials)

with klite (well it depends which one you download) you get lots of other stuff like gspot and other tools....(like i said depending on which version you use)

on a side note there is a klite x64 beta codecs avaible though...

So far I haven't had any issues, but will keep this in mind if I run into any.
