    does Windows 7 really need a codec pack? It comes with XVid and divx codecs and they cover a wide range of files already?

    That's a good question, I was having no issues but I installed it anyway, maybe I should have just left it until I found something that didn't work first.

    it depends what you are looking for...

    this is more of a extension of the codecs vista has.... (just the essentials)

    with klite (well it depends which one you download) you get lots of other stuff like gspot and other tools....(like i said depending on which version you use)

    on a side note there is a klite x64 beta codecs avaible though...

    I just use ffdshow with some extra sharpening and media player classic!. ffdshow is set to load only with mpc anyway , who needs codecs windows 7 can have no xvid/divx codecs for all i care muahaha

    remember this is the windows for the regular users....

    remember??...

    have post processing and queue output samples on mine with extra PS 1 on the side...
