    delete Windows Live Messenger ?

How do I remove Windows Live Messenger from my computer?
I looked under Add & Remove Programs I saw these 2:

    Windows Live Essentials
Windows Live Mesh ActivX Controls for Remote Control

    I wasn't sure about this.
I don't want to remove thewrong item and end up with more problems than I need.

    With appreciation

Click to uninstall Live Essentials and uninstall the components you do not want. Usually it's everything.

You will have to uninstall Windows Live Essentials which is where Messenger is. Then if you have other WLE programs you need, you can download them individually from the Essentials site.

Ahh, thanks. When you choose to uninstall Essentials you will get this window and you can then check what to uninstall.

If you're still running the HP pre-install which has the worst load of crapware and useless duplicate utilities in the industry then I would Clean Up Factory Bloatware at the minimum, and strongly consider getting the vastly superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.
