Thanks guys... I get that you're trying to help and pointing out the obvious is sometimes necessary but like I said, I do have a lot of experience and as such wouldn't be asking for help if this wasn't a really weird issue. Yes its a 64 bit OS I'm not going to bother posting a picture, you'll just have to take my word on it (also as I said above my Photoshop 64 runs fine which would be impossible if I didn't have a 64 bit os).

I tried posting the log file but it just timed out this page... http://www.torquemod.com/CBS.txt
Its up on my website as a txt file now. Apparently its a Notepad language file that's corrupted?? Notepad.exe.mui

    WTH?

    Possibly a Virus?

This is what the notepad.exe.mui file is.

Have you tried repairing the files with a Repair Install, although, I don't see how a language file could cause problems with other applications from running?

No, I didn't want to go through the process of re-installing or repairing windows. My main system is down atm waiting for a new motherboard through RMA and I need this one working at the moment or I'm hooped. I guess I'll just have to wait till I get my main system back up and running before trying to repair or re-install windows. Thanks for the help anyway.

Okay, and this problem is very peculiar if I must say.

Yeah I know. But if you're the only one replying then I'm guessing there isn't anyone else out there who's experienced it or knows how to fix it so I guess the only thing to do is wait and re-install. Thanks again for trying though.

Yeah suppose so, clean install are sometimes the only solution to the problem.

Sorry wasn't able to help any further,
