Windows 7 - Roboform in Win7

Roboform in Win7

I wanted to let you all know that in Windows 7, Roboform works correctly for filling in general fields/forms in IE, but it DOES NOT work for Password filling in Windows dialogs.

Roboform is apparently aware of the issue, but when I contacted them, they were still looking at the RC build of Windows 7. We know Windows 7 is only a month away, and I'm a bit concerned that they don't have a Windows 7 version ready yet.

Just a FYI for you all that use Roboform.

EDIT: SEE REPLY #4 FOR SCREENSHOTS

They are really extremely very good for keeping up. I'll have to check this out in Firefox and see if that issue lurks there as well.

I'm not sure what you are saying. I have been using Roboform for password filling with IE since the beta. (Windows 7 x64 Ultimate). Now using RTM. Maybe I am missing what you mean by "Windows dialogs".

pbcopter,

Like I said, yes, it works for filling forms in IE fine, but the Toolbar menus have display issues, and it cannot fill password dialogs in Windows 7 (it can in Vista and prior)

This is an example of a password dialog:

And this is the menu issue (the menu will initially appear blank, but putting the mouse over each item will show the text):

It's Not working for me either

This thread seems like it went dead, however, I'm still experiencing this problem. Does somebody know something that I don't? What does it take to get RoboForm (I'm using the latest, 6.9.97) with IE8 on Windows 7 x86 Enterprise?

thanks,

ted...

Regarding Roboform in Windows 7, I installed a licensed copy of Roboform. I copied over my profile with my logins from a Vista machine. On the Vista machine, The Profile with the logins is in user\documents\My Roboform Data.

I see no logins in FF or IE, so I conclude I have put it in the wrong place. Where does it belong? Folder? Library? What?

Thanks.

UPDATE:

Long time since this was posted.
Roboform 7 and later versions of 6.x) can fill in Password dialogs now.
As to question last posted, Roboform DOES work in IE9.

The missing text problem is resolved in Roboform 7, As far as I know. However, it does still exist under RDP sessions.

I was having issues with Roboform (free version) and contacted Roboform Techs. They suggested I installed the Roboform Desktop version (still free). After uninstalling the previous version and reinstalling the Desktop version, it looks a little different in both IE and Firefox, but it works fine.

I have had no issues with it since.
