Windows 7: A-Patch for Windows Live Messenger not working properly

Hi. I've installed A-Patch for Windows Live Messenger 2012 version 16.4.3505.0912 and have the 'Disable Photo Sharing' box ticked and some other boxes. But after successful patching, it's not disabling photo sharing. When I drag a picture into an active conversation window, it still expands my window with the full photo, and the chat box is reduced to a narrow column on the left. Other features of A-Patch are working though. In earlier versions, the disable feature used to work. I could drag a photo and it would show the normal 'Accept and Cancel' with a small thumbnail. If I click on 'File' at the top of the active window and then 'Send a file..' it works ok, but not with dragging. This has not worked for the last two versions of A-Patch. Anyone else got this and is there a workaround?
