Windows 7: Qtorrent problems with downloads just pausing over and over (ahhh)

Alright so about four days ago half my torrents all paused for no apparent reason. All seem to be from piratebay, and some of them were half way through, some were new, some were done. So the question is why do they pause. I restart them sometimes the torrents finish and sometimes they just go for a little while then repause. During last weeks I have anywhere from 2- 20 paused. I restart them they pause again, they just keep pausing it seems random. This only happens to maybe 20 at most out of 60 downloading.

Any ideas on whats going on? Also if I want to try a different torrent program can I switch the ones that are halfway done to another program? Like I said about four days ago this started to happen a bunch that were almost done just paused ... They will finish if I keep redoing them.



Also a error pops up over and over while this happens I will post it when I see it. says something about a I/O error and it pops up over and over..

You could try a download manager and see it that makes any difference while downloading. These are just a few that popped up doing a quick search.

It's difficult to say without more details or without seeing it directly, but generally you can check that the tracker is up and running, those torrents have any active seeds uploading, and your connection is working properly and the required network ports are forwarded to your computer.

I may suggest trying out uTorrent too, it's these days the most popular client around and quite stable and recommended too. You can resume the half downloads from the other client if, after adding the torrent, you copy the partial downloads to the destination folder and then start the torrent, it should recognize and start seeding what you have and downloading what you don't.

i cant help think you have a lot of torrents running at once, maybe better to queue most of them,
if you install a new client just point the dls to your current dl folder , the trackers should change to the icon of your new client so clicking the tracker will open the torrents again, they will check and should resume.
