    Rm Software Remote Connection


    hi,
    im new to teaching in a school in birmigham.Were currently using the rm network But dont have a technician at the moment because he has been fired. so does anybody know how to connect to an Rm network from home

    Evansj, I suggest that you try logmein.com and see if that won't do what you want. It is free and they have a pay version but the free one works great. You have to install it on the machine that you want to control remotely but there are a few othes out there. Otherwise, the built in Remote Desktop Program works great as long as your remote system has a fixed IP and you have the security permissions set properly.

    hi,
    rich do you know of any software that does this thing but doesent require to be installed on the client machine. As you probally already know there are masive restrictions on what we can do on the staff laptops install software is one of them.

    I agree 100% with Theog, I am confident that the school won't allow remote access without some adminstrator taking the necessary action to either install a remote program or allow Remote Desktop operation.

    i will when he starts in 6 weeks. As i said we currently dont have one. i was just seeing if it was possible in the meanwhile
