Windows 7 build 7000 64bit

OK, just tried FRAPS, and I presses the hotkey to begin recording, then again to stop, and found no movie where it would store it, so FRAPS doesnt work unless in game I guess.

Good game recording software?
Does anyone know of a good program I could use to record gameplay, that won't murder my framerate? I'd prefer a program that has a free version at least so I can try it out. But anything that will record good without slaughtering FPS works for me.
