Windows 7: VLC Skins + Lost Toolbars??

VLC media player on it's own is pretty ugly..
Everytime I try to make it look better with skins...I seem to lose functionality..



Ex.

Media - Playback - Audio - Video -Tools - View - Help (dissapears)

under "View" there is the option of "advanced controls" that adds an extra toolbar with
a "snapshot" icon.

Upon Installing a Skin..I can't find the "view" option..and am forced to right-click and select "take snapshot" from menu.

So I end up switching back to the "Native Skin"

the customize interface is pretty confusing as well...

any links or tutorials on how to do this?
